Most Magento SEO problems are technical: crawl budget wasted on filter URLs, duplicate product pages, broken canonicals, missing structured data and slow templates. Because we are Magento developers first, we fix these in code and configuration — not just in a report.
Magento generates many URLs for the same content. Layered navigation creates combinations of filters, sorting and pagination; products can appear under several category paths; store views add language and currency variants. Without control, search engines crawl millions of near-duplicate URLs while important pages are crawled less often.
Magento's defaults also need adjusting: category paths in product URLs, canonical settings, the generated XML sitemap, robots instructions per store view, and structured data that themes often output incorrectly or not at all.
We combine an SEO audit with development work: we change templates, configuration and modules, then verify results in Google Search Console. For content and links we work alongside your marketing team or agency.

Layered navigation is the biggest SEO risk on most Magento stores. Each filter, sort order and page number creates a new URL, and the combinations multiply quickly. A catalogue of a few thousand products can produce hundreds of thousands of crawlable URLs.
The answer is to decide which filter pages deserve to rank. A filter such as "brand" within a category often matches real searches and can become an indexable landing page with its own title, heading and copy. Most other combinations — price ranges, sort orders, multiple selected values — should point their canonical to the main category or be kept out of the crawl.
We implement this with clean URLs for chosen filters, canonical rules, robots directives and controlled internal links, then confirm the result in Search Console's page indexing and crawl stats reports.
Many SEO recommendations for Magento never get implemented because nobody owns the code. We do.
We make the template, configuration and module changes ourselves and test them on staging.
Changes are prioritised with Search Console, crawl and log data, not generic checklists.
We use Magento's own settings and well-built modules before adding new extensions.
Technical fixes remove barriers; rankings also depend on content, links and competition. We are clear about that.
Technical changes are usually completed within four to eight weeks; search engines take longer to reflect them.
Search Console, analytics, a full crawl and, where available, server logs.
Issues ranked by impact and effort, with an implementation plan.
